Caught In The Fishnet

I can never get enough lace into my wardrobe. It's pretty much been a staple texture since I was 13. I've lace in so many forms I can barely keep count.

However, I secured some rather interesting lace by Obesity+Speed, via I Don't Like Monday's. It comes in the form of a long sleeved babydoll dress but, more interestingly, the lace itself it actually a kind of fishnet, which makes a bit different to the usual offerings. Needless to say, this appeals to my inner goth on many levels!

Strangely though, there is something quite demure about the dress. Perhaps it's the long sleeves or the cut, but it feels quite modest. I wore it to work last week teamed with my current favourite thing - sheer spotty tights. I want to wear spotty tights with everything at the moment.

The dress however, works over jeans too as it's see-through quality really makes it more of tunic, but with a black skirt underneath, it can also be worn as a dress. It also has pockets, which is always an added bonus.

I also dug out these River island shoes. These were previously very uncomfortable as they are pretty high, however, after traipsing around with the 6" Burberry heels regularly, these suddenly feel really easy to wear.
